Michael Tobias, founder of Michael Tobias Content Marketing and award-winning photographer and filmmaker, is among the Honorable Mention winners of the prestigious 2020 Annual Photography Awards (APA). The internationally renowned photo competition is dedicated to preserving the craft as a contemporary medium of fine art, and is motivated to helping artists rise in their careers, celebrating the best photography from all over the world.
The prominent international jury of leading photographers appreciated the artistic quality of a landscape photo taken by Michael Tobias. The winning black-and-white photo “Diederichstempel in the mist” shows the lookout pavillion above the valley of the Wupper River captured very early on a slighlty foggy Sunday morning in winter. The awarded image can now be seen on APA’s winners’ page.
“It’s an incredible compliment to be chosen for this award. The standard of the images is very high and shows some of the best works from around the globe. I’m astonished and delighted”, Michael Tobias stated.
The winning photos were selected from the 1,650 entries that were submitted from 56 different countries. Entries to this year’s contest were accepted in eight categories and evaluated by an international panel of judges, including: Julia Fullerton-Batten, Alex Telfer, Marinka Masséus, Maxim Dondyuk, Nathalie Daoust, Jordi Huisman, Pavel Volkov, Karsten Meißner, Bara Prasilova, Tim Flach, Karim Iliya, Lars van de Goor, Dina Goldstein, Benjamin Antony Monn and Kamilla Hanapova.
